The NS-800A speakers utilize a newly developed Harmonious Diaphragm™ cone, made from a blend of ZYLON® fiber, which boasts excellent sound velocity and optimal driver resonance, and spruce wood, which is used in the soundboard of Yamaha grand pianos and is essential for sound radiation. PERFECT REPRODUCTION OF MUSIC

Yamaha's patented R.S. (Resonance Suppression) chambers are installed behind the tweeter drivers to faithfully express even the finest nuances of instruments and voices. Two specially shaped tubes cancel out unwanted resonance generated behind the diaphragm, producing the original sound and preserving the smallest musical nuances.

FAITHFUL MUSICAL PRESENCE

Conventional speakers use a lot of sound-absorbing material to eliminate standing sound waves inside the cabinet, but this also removes much of the music's inherent vitality. In the NS-800A speakers, we have used a patented Absorber tube to eliminate standing sound waves while minimizing the amount of absorbing material, so that the music's original realism is reproduced with full energy and dynamics.

The placement of the artist and instruments, and even the subtle nuances and atmosphere of the performance space, are reproduced with astonishing accuracy. The resulting soundstage is so incredibly realistic that you feel as if you are watching the performance unfold right in front of you.

HIGHLY MUSICAL VIBRATION CONTROL

The foundation of excellent sound production, in both instruments and speakers, is determining how sound is generated in the enclosure and where vibrations need to be dampened. The cabinet structure of the NS-800A speakers utilizes the latest loudspeaker design technology, making full use of laser vibrometers used in musical instrument research and development, as well as advanced FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis. The speaker cabinet is optimally reinforced, enabling excellent sound localization that makes you feel as if you are right in the performance, and producing excellent expressiveness that perfectly reproduces even the most subtle instrumental and vocal nuances.
