Pure Direct Function
The CD-S303 features the Pure Direct function, a familiar and popular feature from Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. A button on the front panel or remote control turns off the digital audio output and display. This ensures the lowest possible interference and thus the best sound quality for the analogue audio output.

Highly refined circuit structure and layout
Yamaha engineers have carefully considered the layout of internal parts and circuit boards, which significantly impacts sound quality. The power supplies for the motor drive, display, USB sections, and digital and analogue sections are individually isolated, eliminating electromagnetic interference between them. The drive mechanism is located in the centre of the unit, ensuring ideal weight balance and stable performance.

Short signal paths

Intelligent Digital Servo
Conventional servo circuits cannot fully eliminate errors caused by warped discs, dust, and other defects. This system uses reliable DSP (Digital Signal Processor) specifically for CDs to monitor the signal, adjust laser pick-up tracking and focus, and control spindle motor speed to correct potential problems.

Listen to MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC, and FLAC music
The front panel USB port allows you to easily listen to digital MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC, or FLAC music files stored on USB memory devices. You can also play files stored on CD-R/RW discs.

CD Text display with 3 modes
Information about the CD being played is displayed directly on the CD player's display. The three-mode CD Text display shows the CD title, artist name, and track title.
