Supra LORAD SPC 2.5 mm2 Power Cable with Angled Connector

Supra LoRad SPC (Low Radiation, Silver Plated Copper) is a mains power cable released as part of Supra's 40th-anniversary celebration. The properties of the best possible natural electrical conductor, silver, are unparalleled, especially as a conductor material. In other respects, the cable matches the high-quality Lo-Rad cable, meaning its efficiency, interference shielding, and durability are among the best on the market!

A shielded power cord containing Supra LoRad 3 x 2.5 mm2 SPC cable, a Supra SWF10S female connector (IEC-320), and a Supra SW-EU/A angled male connector. LoRad is short for Low Radiation, indicating that the radiation generated by current transmission has been minimized in the cables. SPC (Silver Plated Copper) means silver-plated conductors to ensure the best possible electrical transmission. The connectors are plated with 24K gold, and a combination of nylon and carbon is used for shielding. Maximum continuous current is 10 A. The EU version Schuko plug is the most common standard across Europe. Exceptions include Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, and the UK. Suitable for LoRad distribution blocks with a current rating of 10 A.

Features:

  • LoRad, or Low Radiation, means minimal radiation from the cable. LoRad cables are therefore well-insulated, thus protecting users and nearby electronic devices from electromagnetic radiation.
  • SPC, or Silver Plated Copper, refers to the silver-plated surface of the copper conductors. This structure enables the best electrical conductivity even with transient current, where the skin effect influences electricity transmission.
  • The cable's insulation also protects the current from external interference and radiation that could negatively affect the power supply. This way, you can enjoy your Hi-Fi perfectly without interference or interruptions.
  • The design of the conductor connections prevents radiation leakage from the connections, thus reducing, for example, noise in adjacent connectors.
  • LoRad produces cleaner sound, better picture, and a healthier home and work environment, without harmful radiation fields.
  • Unbeatable price-quality ratio
  • Made in Sweden!

Supra LoRad:

LoRad stands for low radiation, meaning the design of these power cables minimizes both electric and magnetic fields. Give your hi-fi equipment the most significant advantage, the ability to be quiet when needed. Only then do the smallest details and notes become clearly audible, and the background of time-delayed, real or artificial reflections representing the acoustic environment of the recording reveals the entire soundstage to the conscious hi-fi enthusiast.

LoRad protects both the connected device from external interference and external devices from interference caused by mains power. LoRad MkII is a new model of the LoRad concept, now featuring improved shielding, flexibility, bend/fatigue resistance, and strength.

In addition to the physical durability of the cable, LoRad emphasizes the structure of the conductors. Conductors twisted together with a short radius thus reduce the magnetic field around the conductors caused by self-induction. Furthermore, the twisted structure reduces the effect of external interference, as the same voltage is induced in all conductors at the same level.

LoRad MkII now includes Supra's unique Carbon/Nylon shielding concept. The semiconductive carbon/nylon shield offers better properties than traditional ones, such as bending strength, environmental resistance, higher tensile strength, and reduced microphonic effect. The Carbon/Nylon shield is connected to protective earth along its entire length, effectively grounding any noise trapped in the shield. "We have tested and evaluated all known shielding types to make the best possible cable. Supra's semiconductive Carbon/Nylon shield was the only one that passed our strict safety requirements, and additionally, its shielding properties were the best ever."

Note! Supra LoRad must be connected to a grounded outlet to reap its full benefits.
