Supra LoRad MD06/SP SPC SWITCH surge protected power strip with switch, black

A black special edition Supra power strip, consisting of six European Schuko sockets. The power strip features silver-plated, 2.5 mm2 solid copper internal wiring. The input connector is an international standard IEC-320 10 amp male chassis connector, used in most devices with a removable, grounded power cord. The strip has a 10 A fuse, NIF filtering, and surge protection.

Supra NIF Filter

All Supra power strip models feature Supra NIF (Non-Intrusive Filtering), an effective high-frequency (RFI) transient filter. It is designed and configured to effectively attenuate RFI interference without compromising the fast charging needs of connected devices' power supplies. Supra NIF was developed by Ben Duncan Research in England.

All filters and protections require a mains socket with an earthing connection to function. If your multimedia and hi-fi equipment meet a certain standard, they likely require an earthing connection themselves and use an IEC-320 power connector with a detachable power cable. If your device is like this, and there is no earthing connection in the socket, we recommend contacting your landlord and/or electrician to arrange earthing. This will undoubtedly improve both the sound quality and the operational safety of your equipment.

3-Way Surge Protection

All SP models are equipped with Supra "Surge Protect" protection, where every conductor is protected. Many manufacturers only offer phase/neutral protection, which is not sufficient in all cases. Supra SP power strips have phase/earth, neutral/earth, and phase/neutral protection. This provides maximum protection against lightning or other power surges. Only disconnecting devices offers the surest protection, but when a thunderstorm strikes, disconnecting devices may not always be possible.

Note! All protections require a correctly installed, grounded socket to function. If a grounded socket is not available, we recommend having one installed by a certified electrician. DO NOT USE ADAPTED, SELF-MODIFIED, OR UNOFFICIAL GROUNDING METHODS.

Supra LoRad Shielded Power Strips in Aluminum Casing

The aluminum frame of the Supra power strip is connected to earth potential, minimizing the interfering magnetic field radiated into the environment. The electrically conductive frame directs harmful interference fields directly to ground, preventing RFI and other interference from entering the power circuit. To achieve full interference protection, we recommend connecting all devices and sockets with shielded power cables. Supra's LORAD cables are perfectly suited for this purpose. If you haven't experienced a fully shielded system before, you will surely notice the difference!
