Supporting the latest HDMI 2.1 standard, the specification defines the fastest copper-based data transfer rate ever designed, raising the maximum speed from the previous 16 Gb/s Premium cable standard (HDMI 2.0) to up to 48 Gb/s to support uncompressed video resolutions. In addition to 8K@60Hz (4:2:0) 12-bit HDR, the cable carries uncompressed 4K@120Hz video, while enabling compressed video resolutions up to 10K@120Hz. Finally, Dynamic HDR and enhanced audio return channel (eARC) are also supported, regardless of the combination of HDMI 2.1 compliant devices you are using.

QED Ultra High Speed HDMI cables must pass stringent mandatory tests at an authorized HDMI Forum test center to ensure compatibility with new 2.1 video standards, but also to ensure low levels of electromagnetic radiation and reduce the possibility of wireless interference caused by, for example, data networks, streaming media players, Bluetooth devices, and mobile phones. QED's triple shielding blocks interference for optimal signal quality.

QED is one of the first brands to officially introduce a new cable category in the form of its new Performance Ultra High Speed series. The cables have received the official approval seal from the HDMI Forum accredited laboratory in the form of an instantly recognizable Ultra High Speed Certification Program label. All cables are fully backward compatible with HDMI 2.0b and 1.4b standards.

The new Ultra HDMI is available in 1.5 and 3 meter lengths. The cable is designed to be as thin and flexible as possible. The days of bulky, space-consuming HDMI cables are gone, and the new Performance Ultra High Speed HDMI features a sleek black color with a maximum diameter of only 6.3 mm (1.5 m) or 7.3 mm (3.0 m), ensuring that the cable is visually suitable for use with the thinnest televisions. In reducing the cable diameter, we have not compromised on the purity of the conductors we use, which are still made from 99.999% oxygen-free copper.
