JL Audio f110v2

10" Active Subwoofer

The Fathom f110v2 is the most compact subwoofer in the Fathom® lineup, but it is still capable of delivering exceptional performance in moderately sized rooms. The combination of an extremely long-throw 10-inch W7 driver and a highly efficient amplifier gives it the formidable power normally associated with much larger and more complex subwoofer systems.

Because the f110v2 is implemented with the same driver architecture and amplification technology as our acclaimed flagship Gotham®, it delivers very compelling sound quality. Low distortion, excellent dynamic characteristics, and shockingly deep extension allow you to experience all the excitement of the most demanding cinematic material, while the Fathom is also capable of reproducing all the nuances and textures of your delicate musical material.

A complete suite of signal processing features is easily accessible from the front panel of every Fathom. These include a highly flexible low-pass filter, phase and polarity controls, an e.l.f. trim, and an extremely accurate Digital Automatic Room Optimization system (D.A.R.O.). A high-quality calibrated microphone for the D.A.R.O. system is included. Input connections are made with RCA connectors or balanced Neutrik® combo XLR / TRS connectors. An XLR output is also included, allowing you to chain another Fathom subwoofer.

Advanced Driver Technology

Fathom bass drivers utilize JL Audio's proprietary DMA optimization, which ensures that the driver's motor force provides a very linear excursion over a long range of motion. Unlike traditional modeling methods, DMA takes into account dynamic variations in current supply with real musical material. The advantage of this technology is that the driver keeps up whether listening at high or low volumes, unlike many traditional subwoofers whose reproduction only 'opens up' when the throttle is turned up considerably.

The extreme mounting depth of the driver is deliberate and allows for sufficient separation between the suspension, dual spiders, and cone, which enables a truly long excursion and minimal distortion while also improving durability.
