Ground Zero GZHW 38XSPL-D1
The Hydrogen SPL drivers have been designed using Klippel optimization. In a 10-hour test, the driver's behavior is examined using numerous measurement results, and thus weak points and problems that require improvement are identified early in the design process. The driver is subjected to up to four times the power it can handle. The end result is a driver with a very flat impedance response, meaning it accepts power well at all frequencies, has good sensitivity, and can handle power well.
If you want to play LOUD, the Hydrogen SPL is an excellent choice for a driver. These drivers have 2x1 ohm voice coils, but their impedance behavior is so flat that you can use them with Ground Zero mono amplifiers connected to a nominal load of 0.5 ohms! The solid and well-breathable cast body holds the driver together and allows the subwoofer to breathe properly through the body. Functional voice coil ventilation and a sufficiently sturdy voice coil keep the coil operating temperature correct even in harsh use. Double lower suspension controls the movement of the cone and the stitched upper suspension and cone attachment withstand even the most severe motion.
