Alpine SWC-D84S (Fiat Ducato)
Audio Limitations
The Fiat Ducato's cabin is not originally optimal for good audio reproduction. The Ducato's doors lack sound insulation, which causes problems for bass reproduction, makes the door panel resonate more easily, and additionally, music is heard very well outside the car.
By adding the SWC-D84S subwoofer, you get low and pleasant bass reproduction and avoid the aforementioned problems.
Shallow 8" subwoofer
The 8" shallow subwoofer has two voice coils (2 x 2ohm) and a power handling of 250W. The subwoofer can be connected to the rear speaker outputs of an Alpine head unit. If your car also has rear speakers, they can remain in normal use.
However, the best result is achieved when a separate SWA-150KIT amplifier is purchased for the subwoofer.
Perfect fit
The metal mounting adapter fits directly under the Fiat Ducato's cup holder. The subwoofer "slides" into the bracket and integrates perfectly into the center console. A Plug & Play wiring harness is included to connect the subwoofer to the car's head unit.
Note: Installing the subwoofer requires the car to have a cup holder, so it must be purchased separately if it is not originally in the car.
Plug & Play Wiring Harnesses
The SWC-D84S comes with pre-made wiring harnesses. The wiring harness connects the two rear channels of the head unit to the subwoofer, and the harness also has an integrated crossover. The crossover is left disconnected if/when an SWA-150KIT amplifier is purchased for the subwoofer.
