H.A.M.R.

High Amplitude Multi-Roll (H.A.M.R.) is Alpine's patented surround. Compared to traditional surrounds, the H.A.M.R. surround keeps the cone's excursion significantly more linear, especially at higher volumes where ordinary surrounds start to move erratically.

New cone

The cone material of the S-Series subwoofer is a combination of carbon fiber and polypropylene. Thanks to the light yet rigid cone, the eight-inch element's reproduction extends down to 35 Hertz, producing a distortion-free and pleasant sound throughout its entire frequency range.
