The second-generation R2-series subwoofers feature large dual magnets, which allow for lower frequency reproduction and tighter bass response compared to the previous R-Series generation. The "Faraday Ring" integrated into the voice coil increases power handling and reduces possible distortion, thereby providing clean bass reproduction even at higher volumes than before. The cones of the R2 -Series subwoofers are Kevlar-reinforced, making the cone extremely durable without excessive weight.

Top-tier performance, already in its second generation

Before the R-Series lineup, Alpine had the Type-R lineup, which became known for its performance, reliability, and extremely tight bass response. Now, the second-generation R2-Series lineup, which has entered the market, offers even better bass response than its predecessor!

Alpine Reliability

The new polypropylene/ceramic composite cone is incredibly rigid, ensuring the cone doesn't vibrate erratically, resulting in a flatter frequency response, and the cone material is exceptionally durable.

Versatile applications

All new R2 subwoofers come with dual voice coils (2 x 4ohm or 2 x 2ohm) and jumpers are included, making it easy to create various wiring options. The new "EZ-Change" trim ring creates a stylish installation, and the EZ-Change ring conceals the mounting screws.

Even more precise reproduction

R2 - Series subwoofers feature Alpine's patented H.A.M.R. (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround. This design increases cone excursion and keeps cone movement significantly better controlled than with traditional surrounds.

Six different versions

The new R2 - Series subwoofer lineup includes three different sizes (8″, 10″, 12″), and each subwoofer is available in 2 x 2ohm and 2 x 4ohm versions.
