Renewed Motors

The second-generation R2-series subwoofers feature a large double magnet, which allows for lower frequency response and tighter reproduction compared to the previous R-Series generation. The "Faraday Ring" integrated into the voice coil increases power handling and reduces potential distortion, providing clean bass reproduction even at higher volumes. The R2-Series subwoofers have Kevlar-reinforced cones, making them extremely durable without adding excessive weight.

Top-tier performance, already in the second generation

Before the R-Series, Alpine had the Type-R series, which became known for its performance, reliability, and very tight bass reproduction. Now, the second-generation R2-Series, which has entered the market, offers even better bass reproduction than its predecessor!

Alpine reliability

The new polypropylene/ceramic composite cone is exceptionally stiff, preventing the cone from vibrating on its own and resulting in a flatter frequency response, while the cone material is highly durable.

Versatile applications

All new R2 subwoofers come with dual voice coils (2 x 4ohm or 2 x 2ohm) and include jumpers for easy connection options. The new "EZ-Change" trim ring creates a sleek installation, and with the EZ-Change ring, mounting screws remain hidden.

Even more accurate reproduction

R2 - Series subwoofers feature Alpine's patented H.A.M.R. (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround. This allows for increased cone excursion and provides significantly better control over cone movement than traditional surrounds.

Six different versions

The new R2 - Series subwoofer range includes three different sizes (8″, 10″, 12″), and each subwoofer is available in 2 x 2ohm and 2 x 4ohm versions.
